Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year!

I am excited to continue this school year as the principal of Hiawatha School.  I am looking forward to a great year with our Huskies. We look forward to working with you to ensure your child has a successful school year.

I am lucky to have been a part of the Hiawatha community since 1999. I began my teaching career as a 1^st grade teacher and moved into the role of Assistant Principal, and am now in my 10th year as Principal. I love coming to work every day and engaging with the students, staff, parents, and the community of Hiawatha.

I received my undergraduate degree from Illinois State University in Elementary Education. I also have a Master's degree from Saint Xavier University in Teacher Leadership, followed by a Master's Degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Education Administration.

My husband Jeremy and I have 4 children, our oldest son Colin, recently graduated from college and is a nurse at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago, and triplets Kayla, Haley, and Aidan are going off to be freshmen in college this year. I can’t remember having a house without kids and activities to keep me busy, so I am extra thankful to continue to be with the Huskies and watch them continue to grow each and every day.

I am excited to continue to work alongside  Mrs. Loretta Cooper, the assistant principal at Hiawatha. Mrs. Cooper has an extensive background in special education and has a lot of knowledge to share with us. We are looking forward to continuing to work with her, and together we hope to accomplish great things and continue to improve Hiawatha School.
